From the poem: "Along the Indialantic"
In east Florida, our lives are circumscribed
by the Indialantc -
majestic, magnificent, magnanimous!
The water traverses our thoughts,
and weaves itself into our beings.
and, the poem,
(the) Wisdom of the Wise Men
They looked to the heavens, to the vastness, of the
infinite, forever, celestial skies,
but men, in an uncertain word, frozen in place,
like the dune, before the fierce desert storm,
or the lizard, before the deadly, desert snake.
